CORYOGA AND PILATES
Owner operated yoga studio of nearly two decades
Coryoga and Pilates is a small, unique studio founded by Corina Tesolin in 2001. We started out with Yoga classes and in 2004 Corina completed her studies to incorporate Pilates. The blend of the two forms of discipline quickly evolved to yoga and Pilates on the ball (a third class category) which proved popular due to its ability to work you hard but efficiently - regardless of fitness. Years later, Corina is still the sole owner/operator and she continues to evolve the classes so nothing and no one remains stagnant. We remain small with a maximum of 12 students per class because we believe this is the only way to deliver quality teaching.
Corina Tesolin - Iyengar trained by the best in Byron Bay
I began practising in Byron Bay in 1998, completing a yoga Teaching Training course in 2000 at the highly regarded Byron Bay Yoga Arts Studio. What is now almost two decades of teaching, I have learnt equally as much from the students - together we become the teaching. It gives me great joy to be able to significantly improve the lives who present me with debilitating aliments such as sciatica, bulge discs, knee pain, complex shoulders, excessive weight etc. I've been successful in helping those with bad backs quite often where Physio's were unsuccessful. Yoga definitely yields results and really is a panacea for life. If you feel even just a little apprehensive to start the journey, I encourage you to drop me a line. You have nothing to lose. In the meantime live consciously and love freely.
A Small, unique studio in an old church hall. Peaceful and relaxing.
Our beautiful old church building captures the prevailing winds with all it's surrounding windows, adding to the old school majestic feel of yoga. On the hottest days the premises remains well ventilated adding to the authentic practice of yoga - ‘to breathe and be'. The studio is fully equipped with all the props you would expect for both disciplines, including the popular Yoga wheels. Located in a very quiet street with plenty of parking. Truly peaceful where only the sweet melodies of birds surround us. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
Corner of Kent and McDonald Street, Gulliver
Located in central suburb of Gulliver, off Fulham Road and Palmerston Street. You'll find us at the corner of McDonald and Kent Streets and can’t miss the beautiful church exterior. Parking is always easy here. To assist with a smooth transition of the back to back classes, we ask Pilates students to kindly park out the back always and Yoga students park out the front.
